Characteristics that are permitted as planning characteristics are all
those that can also be used in a planning layout (except the
planning/actual indicator). This includes:
All characteristics that have been activated under "Segment Level
Characteristics in Profitability Segment Creation" (transaction KEQ3).
In costing-based Profitability Analysis, also the characteristics
"Currency type", "Record type", "Version", "Period/year" and (if the
second period type is activated) "Week/year".
In account-based Profitability Analysis, also the characteristics
"Version", "Cost element", and "Period/year".
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
You should only include in the field list those characteristics that
are permitted.
