  • What causes this issue?

You have attempted to change or delete data for a return that the system
has already created. However, once the return is created, you can no
longer delete or change the data that relates to it.
For time administrators, donation returns often appear complicated,
especially when the system must complete a donation return by
distributing the employee's unused balance among multiple donors.
Because of this process, once a donation return has been created, the
system will subsequently return the appropriate portion of the unused
balance to each donor's absence quota; the donor(s), in turn, can use
this quota immediately. However, because this quota can be used
immediately, any attempt to alter the return can cause application data
inconsistencies, since some donors may already plan to use the leave
    that is to be returned.

    System Response

To avoid such inconsistencies, the system does not permit users to
change, retract or delete a return that has already been created.

    How to fix this error?

If you nonetheless wish to change or delete this infotype data, then you
must manually adjust the absence quota of <ZH>every</> employee involved
in this transaction. The manual adjustment of employee absence quotas,
in turn, requires an extensive knowledge of SAP Time Management and
other absence quota infotypes - for example, the <ZK>Absence Quotas</>
    infotype (2006), the <ZK>Quota Corrections</> infotype (2013), and the
    <ZK>Time Quota Compensation</> infotype (0416).

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message HRPBSUS273 - Once the data is created, it cannot be changed or deleted ?

The SAP error message HRPBSUS273, which states "Once the data is created, it cannot be changed or deleted," typically occurs in the context of the SAP Human Resources (HR) module, particularly when dealing with specific infotypes or records that have been locked for changes after creation. This is often related to data integrity and compliance requirements.

    Cause:

    1. Data Locking: Certain infotypes or records in SAP HR are designed to be immutable after they have been created. This is often the case for historical data or records that are subject to legal or compliance regulations.
    2. Status of the Record: The record may have a status that prevents changes, such as being marked as "finalized" or "approved."
    3. Authorization Issues: The user may not have the necessary permissions to modify or delete the record.
    4. System Configuration: The system may be configured to prevent changes to certain types of data after they have been entered.

    Solution:

    1. Check Record Status: Verify the status of the record you are trying to change. If it is finalized or approved, you may need to follow a specific process to reverse that status before making changes.
    2. Consult with HR or Compliance Team: If the data is subject to compliance regulations, consult with your HR or compliance team to understand the implications of changing or deleting the data.
    3. Use Change Mode: If the system allows, you may need to use a specific transaction or mode to make changes. For example, some infotypes allow for changes through a specific transaction code or process.
    4. Authorization Check: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to make changes to the record. If not, contact your system administrator to request the appropriate permissions.
    5. Create a New Record: If the data cannot be changed or deleted, consider creating a new record with the updated information, if applicable.

    Related Information:

    • Infotypes: Familiarize yourself with the specific infotypes you are working with, as some are designed to be non-editable after creation (e.g., infotypes related to payroll, benefits, etc.).
    • SAP Notes: Check SAP Notes or the SAP Support Portal for any specific notes related to this error message, as there may be updates or patches that address similar issues.
    • Documentation: Review SAP documentation or user manuals related to the HR module for guidance on handling immutable records.

If the issue persists after following these steps, it may be beneficial to reach out to your SAP support team or consult with an SAP expert for further assistance.
