  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message HRPAYAT_3238014 - Last action is not 'Left company': & & & & ?

The SAP error message HRPAYAT_3238014, which states "Last action is not 'Left company': & & & &", typically occurs in the context of personnel administration in SAP HR (Human Resources) when there is an issue with an employee's status in the system. This error indicates that the last action recorded for the employee is not a termination action, which is required for certain processes, such as processing a final payroll or executing a specific action related to the employee's exit from the company.

    Cause:

    1. Incorrect Last Action: The last action recorded for the employee is not a termination or "Left company" action. This could happen if the employee's record was not updated correctly or if the wrong action was selected during the last personnel action.
    2. Data Inconsistency: There may be inconsistencies in the employee's data, such as missing or incorrect infotype records that are required for processing the termination.
    3. System Configuration: The system may be configured in a way that requires a specific sequence of actions to be followed, and the last action does not meet those requirements.

    Solution:

    1. Check Last Action: Review the employee's personnel actions to confirm what the last action was. You can do this by navigating to the employee's master data and checking the action history.
    2. Update Last Action: If the last action is incorrect, you may need to perform a correction. This could involve changing the last action to a termination action if the employee has indeed left the company.
    3. Process Termination: If the employee has left the company, ensure that you process the termination correctly. This may involve executing the appropriate personnel action (e.g., "Leave Company") in the system.
    4. Review Infotypes: Check the relevant infotypes (e.g., IT 0000, IT 0001, IT 0002) to ensure that all necessary data is complete and accurate.
    5. Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or your organization's HR policies to ensure compliance with the required processes for employee termination.

    • User Roles: Ensure that you have the appropriate permissions to make changes to employee records and execute personnel actions.
