The Adopter's Date of Death has been entered (if your employee is the
Adopte's Partner) or derived (if your employee is the Adopter).

    System Response

This is a warning to ensure that the HR user is aware of the rules that
govern scenarios when the adopter dies.

    How to fix this error?

    1) The underlying principle when A dies without having curtailed leave
or pay, is that the same arrangement applies that would have applied had
they not died (except for sharing the care of the child and certain
notification requirements). If P would not have been entitled to SPL
and ShPP had A lived, they would still not be entitled to it in the
    event of A's death.
    2) Where A dies without having curtailed her adoption leave or pay, an
eligible P is entitled to take up to 52 weeks of SPL and 39 weeks of
ShPP if P and A would have met the qualifying conditions had A not died.
The 8 weeks? notice requirement does not apply. Any adoption leave/pay
taken by A before death would still need to be deducted from the weeks
    available to P.
    3) Where A has curtailed adoption leave and pay, any SPL or ShPP
allocated to A will default to an eligible P. P will be required to
notify his employer of the change. Where P has already used the
statutory allocation of 3 notices to book leave, P will acquire a
statutory entitlement to submit a 4th notice to book leave.
    4) If the adopter had curtailed her adoption leave period before their
death by giving notice to her employer and then revoked that
curtailment, any SPL/ShPP pay taken by P prior to the curtailment would
also need to be deducted from the weeks available to P after A?s death.
