  • Message text: You are not permitted to create subtypes (see long text)

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You tried to create a new subtype. To avoid namespace conflicts you are
not permitted to create subtypes in SAP systems.

    System Response

The system prevents you from entering new subtypes.

    How to fix this error?

If you need a new subtype, write an internal problem message with the
component PA-BC. Include the system, the development class, the
    required subtype, and its description.
If you need a temporary subtype (for example, for test purposes), use
the subtypes 8000 to 8999 (for relationships, in other words subtypes
of infotype 1001, the values A880 to A899 and B880 to B899 are
permitted). These, however, must not be transported or delivered. For
that reason they cannot be created in Customizing clients.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

        • S_TCODE: for transaction codes
        • S_HR_HRT: for HR-related authorizations

    3. Consult with HR or Security Team:

      • If you are not able to resolve the issue, consult with your HR or SAP security team to ensure that the user has the correct permissions and roles assigned.
    4. Review Configuration:
