  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CRM_IC_IARECORD108 - Not saved: Radio Button "Not Completed" is already used in an other entry ?

The SAP error message CRM_IC_IARECORD108 indicates that there is an issue with the radio button selection in the Interaction Center (IC) when trying to save an entry. Specifically, the error states that the radio button option "Not Completed" is already used in another entry, which means that the system is enforcing a uniqueness constraint for that particular status.

    Cause:

    1. Unique Constraint: The "Not Completed" status is likely set up in the system to allow only one entry at a time. This is a common design in systems to prevent multiple entries from being in the same state, which could lead to confusion or data integrity issues.
    2. Concurrent Entries: If multiple users are trying to set the same status for different entries simultaneously, this error can occur.
    3. Data Locking: The entry you are trying to save may be locked by another user or process, preventing you from saving your changes.

    Solution:

    1. Check Existing Entries: Review the existing entries in the system to see if there is already an entry marked as "Not Completed." If so, you may need to change the status of that entry before you can save your new entry.
    2. Change Status: If you have the necessary permissions, consider changing the status of the existing entry to something else (e.g., "Completed" or "In Progress") to free up the "Not Completed" status for your new entry.
    3. Wait for Release: If the entry is locked by another user, you may need to wait until that user has finished their work and released the lock.
    4. Consult with Colleagues: If you are unsure about the status of existing entries, consult with your colleagues or team members to coordinate the use of statuses.
    5. System Configuration: If this behavior is not expected, it may be worth checking with your SAP administrator or support team to see if the configuration can be adjusted to allow multiple entries with the same status.

    Related Information:

    • SAP Notes: Check SAP Notes for any known issues or patches related to this error message. Sometimes, SAP releases updates that address specific bugs or enhance functionality.
    • Documentation: Review the SAP documentation for the Interaction Center to understand how statuses are managed and any constraints that may be in place.
    • User Training: Ensure that users are trained on how to manage statuses effectively to avoid conflicts and errors.

If the problem persists after trying the above solutions, it may be necessary to escalate the issue to your SAP support team for further investigation.
