  • What causes this issue?

    Budget transfers are not possible between elements assigned to
    capital-investment program items.

    System Response

    Processing stopped.

    How to fix this error?

    Example:
    The top WBS element P1 is assigned to CI program item I1,
    The top WBS element P2 is assigned to CI program item I2.
    I1 and I2 belong to CI program item I.
    If you want to transfer budget from P1 to P2, proceed as follows:
    RESET N1:
    Return budget from P1 to I1.
    Return budget from I1 to I.
    Within the CI program structure, budget is always returned to the first
    common item - in this case, I.
    The value of the distributable budget in I increases accordingly.
    Post a corresponding supplement to I2.
    Post a supplement from I2 to P2.
    The "transfer" thus follows the path P1 -> I1 -> I -> I2 -> P2.
