Description: A potential sale to a prospect or customer identified as having expressed some interest in your product. A lead can result from a trade fair, direct marketing, and other marketing activities.
Key Concepts: A lead is a potential customer or sales opportunity in SAP CRM. It is created when a customer expresses interest in a product or service. The lead can then be tracked and managed through the sales process. How to use it: In SAP CRM, leads can be created manually or automatically. To create a lead manually, go to the Opportunities tab and select “Create Lead”. Enter the customer’s contact information and any other relevant details. Once the lead is created, it can be assigned to a sales representative and tracked through the sales process. Tips & Tricks: Leads can be converted into opportunities when they are ready to move forward in the sales process. This can be done by selecting “Convert Lead” from the Opportunities tab. This will create an opportunity record with all of the lead’s information already filled in.
