What causes this issue?

Characteristic &v1& has time-dependent master data or hierarchies.
The assigned <DS:GLOS.3528EC47E8AA5570E10000009B38F983>fiscal year
variant</> determines how time-dependent master data and hierarchies are
transferred to connected BW systems. Any change made afterwards can
cause severe inconsistencies or even runtime errors - especially if data
already exists - because time references may be shifted or invalidated.

Processing will proceed.

How to fix this error?

If the new fiscal year variant is not compatible with existing data, you
need to delete and recreate or reimport all old master data and
hierarchies that are affected.
<ZK>Note</>: The default fiscal year variant K4 is used for
characteristics without their own fiscal year variant.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
