SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message text: Cannot print billing document &1; history of material &2 is unreadable

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

When the billing document was digitally signed, the material description
was maintained neither in the current logon language nor in the
languages Portuguese and English (the fallback languages used by the
standard print program). The material description was available in the
language in which the document was created.
The printout must contain the material description that was valid when
the digital signature was generated. Therefore, in this case, you can
print the billing document only in the language in which it was created.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    System Response

The system does not let you print the document. Even if you subsequently
enter the material description in the current logon language and in
Portuguese and English, the system does not let you print the document
    in these languages.

    How to fix this error?

Print the billing document in the language in which it was created.
    <ZH>Recommendation
</>To print a billing document in a particular language, make sure the
material descriptions are maintained in this language before the
    document is digitally signed.
We recommend that you always maintain the material descriptions in
Portuguese and English, because the standard print program can use these
languages for a material description if the description is not available
    in the current logon language.
