- List is incomplete (Additional values: restrict search) ?The SAP error message SH502, which states "List is incomplete (Additional values: restrict search)," typically occurs when a search or selection list in SAP does not return all expected results. This can happen for various reasons, including restrictions in the search criteria or limitations in the data being queried.
Causes:
- Search Restrictions: The search criteria may be too restrictive, leading to a limited set of results. This can happen if specific filters or parameters are applied that exclude many entries.

- System Configuration: There may be configuration settings in the SAP system that limit the number of entries displayed in a list.
- Performance Settings: Sometimes, performance settings in SAP can limit the number of records returned to improve system performance.
Solutions:
- Review Search Criteria: Check the search parameters you are using. Try broadening the criteria or removing some filters to see if more results are returned.
- Check User Permissions: Ensure that your user role has the necessary permissions to view all relevant data. If you suspect permission issues, consult with your SAP administrator.
- Adjust System Settings: If you have access, review the configuration settings related to the list display. This may involve checking settings in transaction codes like SE80 or SE11.
- Use Alternative Transactions: If the current transaction is not yielding the desired results, consider using alternative transactions or reports that may provide the information you need.
- Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific guidance related to the transaction or report you are using.
