SCPR392
- Documentation of BC Set &1 saved in status 'active' ?The SAP error message SCPR392 indicates that a Business Configuration Set (BC Set) is saved in the status 'active'. This message typically arises when you attempt to make changes to a BC Set that is currently active, which is not allowed in SAP.
Cause:
The primary cause of this error is that the BC Set you are trying to modify or delete is in an active state. In SAP, BC Sets are used to transport configuration settings, and once they are activated, they cannot be changed directly. This is a safeguard to ensure that the configuration remains consistent and stable in the system.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you have a few options:
Deactivate the BC Set: If you need to make changes to the BC Set, you will first need to deactivate it. This can typically be done through the transaction code
SCPR20
(for BC Set management). Once deactivated, you can make the necessary changes.Create a New Version: If you cannot deactivate the BC Set (for example, if it is in use), consider creating a new version of the BC Set. You can copy the existing BC Set and make your changes in the new version.
Check Dependencies: Ensure that there are no dependencies or active configurations that rely on the BC Set. If there are, you may need to address those dependencies before deactivating or modifying the BC Set.
Consult Documentation: Review the SAP documentation related to BC Sets for more detailed instructions on managing them. This can provide insights into best practices and potential impacts of deactivating or modifying BC Sets.
Related Information:
