  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The internal code used in the digital signature for your document is
inconsistent for the relevant number range number.
The system automatically derives the internal code value form specific
    document properties such as the
    <DS:DE.RDSV_LEGAL_DOC_CAT>Legal Document Category</>
(invoice, proforma invoice, debit memo, credit memo etc.).
The legal document category of the posting does not match the legal
document category of the existing postings of the number range interval
that the posting tries to access.
A legal document category is a group of documents with specific
properties that must be handled consistently from the legal point of
view: for example<(>,<)> for the numbering, the digital signature
generation and document checks. Documents posted to a number range must
belong to the same legal document category.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    <ZU>Note:</>
The legal document category value is different to the SAF-T document
    type value.

    System Response

The system prevents the posting because it is not legal.

    How to fix this error?

To post documents to that number range interval, use only a combination
of billing type and SD document category for the relevant number range
number that is consistent from the legal point of view for the relevant
country and for the corresponding legal document category.

    Procedure for System Administrators

    It might be necessary:
To create new separate number range intervals to assign them to relevant
    billing types, Or
To change the implementation of existing user-exits or BAdI's to
determine the number range for a posting.
