  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

Access &V1& of access sequence &V2& was not successful. Field &V4&
    (sequence number &V3&) is empty.

    System Response

    The access is not relevant.

    How to fix this error?

As a rule, the assigned field in the document or document item is also
    empty.
The system searches for a condition record in a condition table with
field Settlement group using settlement group 2, for example. In the
document item, the field Settlement group 1 is maintained, but the
field Settlement group 2 is not. An access that uses settlement group 2
can therefore not be successful for the document item.
Otherwise, the field is not transferred to Price Determination
    (structures KOMK, KOMP).
Please note subsequent messages regarding further accesses.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    Cause:

The error message "Access &1 of access sequence &2 not successful (field &4 empty)" suggests that the system attempted to access a condition record using a specific access sequence, but it was unable to find a valid entry because a required field (indicated by &4) is empty. This could happen due to several reasons:

    2. Incorrect Configuration: The access sequence may not be configured correctly, or the fields used in the access sequence may not match the data available in the system.

      • Verify that the access sequence is set up correctly and that the fields used in the access sequence are appropriate for the data you are working with.
    3. Maintain Condition Records:

      • Check if there are condition records maintained for the relevant access sequence and the specific combination of keys (e.g., customer/material).
      • If not, create the necessary condition records using the appropriate transaction (e.g., VK11 for creating pricing conditions).
    4. Debugging: If the issue persists, you may need to debug the process to see where the access sequence is failing. This can help identify if there are any other underlying issues.

    5. Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or consult with your SAP support team for any specific notes or updates related to this error message.

    Related Information:

    • Access Sequences: Access sequences are a series of steps that the system follows to find the appropriate condition records based on the criteria defined in the access sequence.
    • Condition Records: These are the actual data entries that define pricing, discounts, or other conditions based on various criteria.
