KPT3034
- Only cost element planning may be copied with active cumulation ?The SAP error message KPT3034, which states "Only cost element planning may be copied with active cumulation," typically occurs in the context of planning in SAP Controlling (CO) when you are trying to copy planning data from one version to another while cumulation is active. This error indicates that the system is set up to only allow cost element planning to be copied when cumulation is active, and other types of planning (like cost center planning or internal order planning) cannot be copied under these conditions.
Cause:
- Active Cumulation: The error arises when the planning version you are trying to copy from has cumulation active. In this state, the system restricts the types of planning data that can be copied.
- Planning Type: The planning type you are trying to copy may not be compatible with the active cumulation setting. For example, if you are trying to copy cost center planning or activity planning, it will not be allowed.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can consider the following approaches:
Deactivate Cumulation: If it is appropriate for your planning process, you can deactivate cumulation in the planning version settings. This will allow you to copy other types of planning data. However, be cautious with this approach as it may affect other planning processes.
Use Cost Element Planning: If you need to copy planning data while cumulation is active, ensure that you are only copying cost element planning data, as this is the only type allowed under these conditions.
Check Planning Versions: Review the planning versions involved in the copy process. Ensure that the source version is set up correctly and that you are using the correct target version.
Consult Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help resources for specific details on how to manage planning versions and cumulation settings.
Contact SAP Support: If the issue persists or if you are unsure about making changes to the planning settings, consider reaching out to SAP support or your internal SAP team for assistance.
