  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

    The method of apportionment apportions the values calculated in
    <DS:GLOS.results_analysis>results analysis</> to the
    <DS:GLOS.line_ID>line IDs</> in proportion to the total planned costs
    for each line ID.
    In this case the planned costs are zero.
    The planned costs can be zero if you have not planned any costs for the
    order.
    The method of apportionment cannot be used.
    The pair (&V1&,&V2&) means (line ID category, results analysis form).
    The line ID categories are:
    K = costs
    P = costs of commissions and complaints
    The results analysis forms are:
    B = work in process
    R = reserves for unrealized costs
    P = reserves for commissions and complaints

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    Check the planned values of the object for which you want to perform
    results analysis.
    Check the settings in the <LS>valuation method</> that is relevant to
    the <DS:GLOS.results_analysis_version>results analysis version</>. If
    necessary, choose a different method of apportionment.
    If you are not planning any costs on the object all, you can select a
    results analysis method in simplified Customizing in the valuation
    method for which no planned costs are required.

    The SAP error message KJ232, which states "Planned cost = 0. Cannot use method of apportionment (&,&)," typically occurs in the context of cost planning and allocation in SAP Controlling (CO) module, particularly when dealing with cost centers, internal orders, or projects.

    Cause:

    1. Zero Planned Costs: The primary cause of this error is that the planned costs for the cost object (e.g., cost center, internal order) are set to zero. This means that there are no costs available to allocate or apportion using the specified method.

    4. Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or help resources for specific details on the apportionment methods and their requirements.
