- Do not enter percentages in the infotype prior to Jan. 1, 2009 ?The SAP error message HRPAYDESV107, which states "Do not enter percentages in the infotype prior to Jan. 1, 2009," typically occurs in the context of payroll processing or employee data management within the SAP Human Capital Management (HCM) module. This error is related to the handling of certain infotypes (data structures in SAP that store employee-related information) that are not allowed to contain percentage values before a specific date.
Cause:
The error is triggered when a user attempts to enter percentage values in an infotype that is restricted from accepting such values prior to January 1, 2009. This restriction may be due to changes in legislation, system configuration, or business rules that were implemented after that date. The specific infotype in question could be related to payroll, benefits, or other employee compensation structures.
Solution:
To resolve this error, you can take the following steps:
Check the Date of Entry: Ensure that the data you are trying to enter is for a date on or after January 1, 2009. If the data pertains to a period before this date, you will need to adjust your entries accordingly.
Review Infotype Configuration: Consult with your SAP HCM administrator or technical team to review the configuration of the relevant infotype. They can provide insights into why the restriction is in place and whether it can be modified.
Use Alternative Values: If you need to enter data for a period before January 1, 2009, consider using alternative values that do not involve percentages, or check if there are other infotypes that can accommodate the data you need to enter.
Consult Documentation: Review SAP documentation or release notes related to the infotype in question to understand any changes that may have been made regarding percentage entries.
Testing in a Sandbox Environment: If you are considering changes to the configuration, it is advisable to test these changes in a sandbox environment before applying them to the production system.
