  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message HRMGE00GENERAL625 - Wage type(s) &1 suggested from feature LGMST and not by the CPIs ?

The SAP error message HRMGE00GENERAL625 indicates that there is a discrepancy between the wage types suggested by the feature LGMST (which is used for determining wage types based on certain criteria) and the wage types suggested by the CPIs (Collective Pay Information). This typically occurs in the context of payroll processing in SAP HR.

    Cause:

    1. Configuration Issues: The wage types defined in the feature LGMST may not align with those defined in the CPIs. This can happen if there have been recent changes to the wage type configuration or if the feature has not been updated to reflect the current payroll structure.
    2. Missing Wage Types: The wage types that are expected to be processed may not be defined in the system or may not be correctly assigned to the relevant employee groups or payroll areas.
    3. Incorrect Feature Settings: The feature LGMST may not be correctly configured to suggest the appropriate wage types based on the employee's characteristics.

    Solution:

    1. Check Feature LGMST: Review the configuration of feature LGMST to ensure that it is set up correctly and that it includes the appropriate wage types for the relevant employee groups.
    2. Review CPI Configuration: Check the configuration of the CPIs to ensure that the wage types are correctly defined and that they match the expected wage types for the payroll run.
    3. Consistency Check: Perform a consistency check between the wage types suggested by LGMST and those defined in the CPIs. Make sure that all necessary wage types are included in both configurations.
    4. Update Wage Types: If there are wage types that need to be added or modified, update the relevant configurations in both LGMST and the CPIs.
    5. Testing: After making changes, run a test payroll to ensure that the error does not occur again and that the correct wage types are being processed.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: You may need to use transaction codes such as PE03 (Maintain Features) to check and modify the feature settings, and PE04 (Maintain Wage Types) to review wage type configurations.
    • Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation or help guides related to payroll configuration and wage type management for detailed instructions on how to configure these settings.
    • Support: If the issue persists after checking the configurations, consider reaching out to SAP support or consulting with an SAP HR expert for further assistance.

By addressing the configuration discrepancies and ensuring that both LGMST and CPIs are aligned, you should be able to resolve the error message HRMGE00GENERAL625.
