Message class: HRASR00_FBD - HR Admin. Serv.: Form-Based Dialogs and Backend
Message number: 059
Message text: The form scenario contains fields without type information
In a rule, you can only use form fields for which you know the data
type. However, in the form scenario, fields exist that are not yet
typed.
Only typed fields are available when defining the rule. All untyped
fields are suppressed.
Regardless of how they are used in rules, all fields of a form scenario
must be typed. Therefore, determine the type for each field either by
entering a <DS:DE.ASR_FIELD_DATA_ELEMENT_NAME>data element</> directly
or by linking it to a field in a backend service.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

HRASR00_FBD059
- The form scenario contains fields without type information ?The SAP error message HRASR00_FBD059 indicates that there are fields in a form scenario that lack type information. This typically occurs in the context of SAP's HR (Human Resources) module, particularly when dealing with forms and workflows in the SAP Employee Self-Service (ESS) or Manager Self-Service (MSS) applications.
Cause:
- Missing Field Type Definition: The fields in the form scenario may not have been properly defined with their data types. This can happen if the form was created or modified without specifying the necessary attributes for each field.
- Inconsistent Data Model: If the underlying data model has changed (e.g., fields were added or removed), the form scenario may not reflect these changes correctly.
- Transport Issues: If the form scenario was transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there may have been issues during the transport that caused the type information to be lost.
Solution:
Check Field Definitions: Go to the form scenario in the SAP system and verify that all fields have the correct type information defined. You can do this by:
- Navigating to the relevant form scenario in the SAP GUI.
- Checking each field's properties to ensure that the data type is specified (e.g., CHAR, NUMC, DATS, etc.).
Modify the Form Scenario: If you find fields without type information, you will need to edit the form scenario to add the necessary type definitions. This can usually be done in the form builder or configuration tool used for HR forms.
Review Data Model Changes: If there have been recent changes to the data model, ensure that the form scenario is updated accordingly. This may involve adding new fields or removing obsolete ones.
Transport Validation: If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport logs for any errors or warnings. You may need to re-transport the form scenario or manually adjust it in the target system.
Testing: After making the necessary changes, test the form scenario to ensure that it works correctly and that the error message no longer appears.
