  • What causes this issue?

    The <DS:DE.CRMT_VIEW_CLASSIFYER>usages</> <ls>Applicant
</> and <ls>Applicant and Processor</> are selected usages that are used
to identify the view for the person placing the request. Therefore, only
one usage per request category is permitted for identifying the
applicant view for a given validity period. This means either the
<ls>Applicant</> usage, or the <ls>Applicant and Processor</> usage.
In this case, the usage <ls>&v1&</> has already been set with reference
to request category &v3& for view &v2& with validity end &v4&.

    System Response

    The usage cannot be entered.

    How to fix this error?

Check which view should have the usage <ls>Applicant</> / <ls>Applicant
and Processor</> in which validity period and maintain the entries
    accordingly.

    Procedure for System Administrators

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CRM_WEBREQ_CUST005 - Usage "&1" is already set in view &2 ?

The SAP error message CRM_WEBREQ_CUST005 indicates that a specific usage (denoted by &1) is already set in a particular view (denoted by &2). This error typically occurs in the context of customizing or configuring the SAP CRM (Customer Relationship Management) system, particularly when dealing with web requests or web UI configurations.

    Cause:

The error is usually caused by one of the following reasons:

    1. Duplicate Configuration: The usage you are trying to set is already assigned to the specified view. This can happen if there are multiple attempts to configure the same usage for a view.
    2. Incorrect Customization: There may be an inconsistency in the customization settings, where the same usage is inadvertently assigned to multiple views or is being set incorrectly.
    3. Transport Issues: If changes were transported from one system to another (e.g., from development to production), there might be conflicts or duplicates in the configuration.

    Solution:

To resolve the CRM_WEBREQ_CUST005 error, you can take the following steps:

    1. Check Existing Configurations:

      • Go to the relevant customizing transaction (e.g., SPRO) and navigate to the area where the usage is defined.
      • Verify if the usage &1 is already assigned to the view &2. If it is, you may need to remove or modify the existing assignment.
    2. Modify or Remove Duplicates:

      • If you find that the usage is indeed already assigned, you can either modify the existing assignment or remove it if it is not needed.
      • Ensure that you are not trying to assign the same usage to multiple views unless that is the intended configuration.
    3. Check Transport Requests:

      • If the issue arose after a transport, check the transport request for any conflicting changes. You may need to adjust the configuration in the target system to resolve any conflicts.
    4. Consult Documentation:

      • Review the SAP documentation or notes related to the specific usage and view to ensure that you are following the correct procedures for configuration.
    5. Testing:

      • After making changes, test the configuration to ensure that the error does not reoccur and that the system behaves as expected.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: Familiarize yourself with relevant transaction codes such as SPRO (Customizing), CRMD_ORDER (Order Management), and others that may be related to your specific configuration.
    • SAP Notes: Check for any SAP Notes that may address this specific error or provide additional guidance on configuring usages and views in SAP CRM.
    • Community Forums: Consider searching or posting in SAP community forums for additional insights from other users who may have encountered similar issues.
