  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The marketing plan or the marketing campaign was not successfully
exported via the Protagona COM method <LS>CreateProcessView</>. The
system will now try to run the export using the UpdateProcessView COM
    method.
The marketing plan or marketing campaign may have already been exported
to Protagona, in which case Protagona has already created the
plan/campaign. CRM was not informed of this process, however.
If this is the case, Protagona will respond with an error if you call
up the CreateProcessView method again, since the plan/campaign already
    exists.

    How to fix this error?

If the UpdateProcessView COM method is successful and does not respond
with any errors, the problem is solved and you need not do anything
    further.
If the UpdateProcessView COM method also responds with errors, review
the messages for the CreateProcessView COM method.

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CRM_MKT_EXT01020 - System will try to export using &2 instead of COM method &1 ?

The SAP error message CRM_MKT_EXT01020 indicates that there is an issue with the system's attempt to export data using a specified method. The message suggests that the system will attempt to use an alternative method (indicated by &2) instead of the originally intended COM method (indicated by &1).

    Cause:

    1. COM Method Failure: The primary cause of this error is that the COM method specified in the system is either not available, not properly configured, or has encountered an error during execution.
    2. Configuration Issues: There may be issues with the configuration of the COM interface or the related components in the SAP system.
    3. Network Issues: If the COM method relies on external services or systems, network connectivity issues could prevent successful execution.

    3. Test the COM Method: If possible, manually test the COM method to see if it executes successfully outside of the automated process. This can help identify if the issue is with the method itself or the way it is being called.
    4. Network Connectivity: Ensure that there are no network issues preventing the system from accessing the required resources or services.
    5. Authorization Check: Verify that the user or system has the necessary authorizations to execute the COM method. This may involve checking user roles and permissions.
    6. Fallback Method: Since the system is attempting to use an alternative method, ensure that this fallback method is also properly configured and can handle the required operations.
