    System Response

Positive lead times are not taken into account if the setting
<LS>Dependent Requirements to Operation Dates</> has been chosen in
Customizing for <ZK>Scheduling</>. With this setting only
operation-related positive and negative lead times, or - if these have
not been maintained - order-related negative lead times can be
    scheduled.

    How to fix this error?

If required, change the Customizing settings for scheduling to suit your
    requirements for operation-related or order-related positive/negative
lead times, taking into account the system conditions listed above.

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message CO629 - During scheduling only the lead time is taken into account. ?

The SAP error message CO629, which states "During scheduling only the lead time is taken into account," typically occurs in the context of production planning and scheduling within the SAP system. This message indicates that the scheduling process is not considering certain parameters or settings that are necessary for a more detailed scheduling calculation.

    Cause:

    1. Lead Time Settings: The error often arises when the system is configured to only consider lead time for scheduling, ignoring other factors such as setup times, processing times, or transportation times.
    2. Routing Issues: If the routing for the production order is not properly defined or lacks necessary operations, the system may default to using only lead time.
    3. Scheduling Parameters: The scheduling parameters in the material master or the production order may not be set correctly, leading to limited scheduling calculations.
    4. Capacity Constraints: If there are capacity constraints that prevent the system from scheduling based on all available data, it may revert to using only lead time.

    Solution:

    1. Check Routing: Ensure that the routing for the production order is complete and includes all necessary operations, including setup and processing times.
    2. Review Material Master Data: Verify the scheduling parameters in the material master. Ensure that the lead time, processing time, and setup time are correctly defined.
    3. Adjust Scheduling Parameters: In the production order or in the material master, check the scheduling parameters to ensure that they allow for detailed scheduling. This may include adjusting the settings for "Scheduling Type" or "Scheduling Margin Key."
    4. Capacity Planning: Review the capacity planning settings to ensure that there are no constraints that would limit the scheduling process. This includes checking work center capacities and availability.
    5. Use Detailed Scheduling: If applicable, consider using advanced planning tools like SAP APO (Advanced Planner and Optimizer) or SAP S/4HANA's advanced scheduling features for more complex scheduling needs.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes: You may need to use transaction codes like CO01 (Create Production Order), CO02 (Change Production Order), or C223 (Maintain Routing) to check and modify the relevant data.
    • SAP Notes: Check for any relevant SAP Notes that may address specific issues related to this error message.
    • Documentation: Refer to SAP documentation for detailed explanations of scheduling parameters and how they affect production planning.

By addressing the above points, you should be able to resolve the CO629 error and enable the system to consider all relevant factors during the scheduling process.
