    Procedure for System Administrators

    Check lock management.
    The lock table may be too small. The maximum number of locks in the lock
    table is based an upper limit set using a profile parameter. The
    enque/table_size parameter determines the size of the lock table in KB.
    You can determine the maximum number and the current number of entries
    using SM12 / Extras / Statistics.
    Problems with the lock administration are usually caused by:
    Communication problems (network). Check the network.
    Problems with the message server. Check whether the message server is
    running (process msg_server or ms.sap<(><<)>sapsystemname>).
    Problems with the enqueue server. Check the following settings:
    An application server with enqueue functionality (compare SM51) is
    running that has an identical name to parameter rdisp/enqname in profile
    DEFAULT.PFL (case is also identical).
    The parameter rdisp/myname is set correctly.
    The number of enqueue work processes (rdisp/wp_no_enq) is at least 1.
    Configuration of other application servers. Rdisp/enqname and
    rdisp/mshost must be set on the enqueue server or message server on the
    other instances.
