  • The SAP error message CM_ARCHIV203 indicates that a report or document is currently locked by another user, preventing you from accessing or modifying it. This is a common issue in SAP systems where multiple users may attempt to access the same resource simultaneously.
    
    Cause: Concurrent Access: Another user is currently using the report or document, which locks it for editing or viewing. Session Timeout: A previous session may not have been properly closed, leaving the report in a locked state. System Error: Occasionally, system errors or crashes can leave resources in a locked state.
    Solution: Wait and Retry: If the lock is temporary, waiting for the other user to finish and release the lock may be the simplest solution. Check Lock Entries: You can check the lock entries using transaction code SM12. This will show you which user has locked the report. If you have the necessary permissions, you can delete the lock entry. Go to transaction SM12. Enter
