CB522
- Component is to be backflushed, no goods issue posting ?The SAP error message CB522 indicates that a component is set to be backflushed, but there is no goods issue posting available for that component. This typically occurs in the context of production orders or process orders where components are automatically issued to production based on the backflush settings.
Cause:
Backflush Configuration: The component is configured for backflushing, but the system cannot find a corresponding goods issue posting. This can happen if:
- The production order has not been released.
- The production order is not in a status that allows for backflushing.
- The component has not been properly allocated to the production order.
- The goods movement for the component has not been posted.
Stock Availability: There may not be enough stock available for the component to be backflushed.
Order Status: The production order might be in a status that does not allow for backflushing (e.g., "TECO" - technically completed).
Solution:
Check Production Order Status: Ensure that the production order is released and in a status that allows for backflushing. You can check the status in transaction code CO02 (Change Production Order).
Verify Component Allocation: Make sure that the component is correctly allocated to the production order. You can check this in the component overview of the production order.
Post Goods Movement: If the component is not available in stock, you may need to post a goods movement to ensure that the component is available for backflushing. This can be done using transaction code MIGO.
Review Backflush Settings: Check the backflush settings in the material master (transaction code MM02) and the production order settings to ensure they are correctly configured.
Check Stock Levels: Use transaction code MMBE to check the stock levels of the component to ensure that there is enough stock available for backflushing.
Consult Documentation: If the issue persists, consult SAP documentation or your internal SAP support team for further troubleshooting.
Related Information:
Transaction Codes:
Backflush: Backflushing is a process in SAP where the system automatically issues components to a production order when the order is confirmed, rather than requiring a manual goods issue.
Production Order Statuses: Familiarize yourself with the different statuses of production orders (e.g., REL, TECO, CLSD) to understand when backflushing is allowed.
By following these steps, you should be able to resolve the CB522 error and ensure that the backflushing process works correctly for your production orders.
