Message number: 009
Message text: &1 '&2' is already assigned
You tried to select the <LS>Keep</> checkbox for an entry which is the
same as another entry already assigned to the target record.
To avoid duplicate assignments of data entries, you are not allowed to
keep an entry that is the same as an entry already assigned to the
target record. Note that when you deselect the<LS> Keep</> checkbox of
an entry, its assignment to the target record is not deleted
immediately.
If you deselected an entry already but didn't consolidate the cleansing
case, this assignment prevents you from now selecting an entry of the
same type exhibiting the same identifying attributes.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
Consolidate the cleansing case to apply your changes or check that the
entries already assigned to the target record are correct. If so, you do
not need to select the entry again.

BS_CC_MESSAGES009
- &1 '&2' is already assigned ?The SAP error message BS_CC_MESSAGES009 typically indicates that there is an attempt to assign a certain object (like a cost center, internal order, etc.) that is already assigned to another entity or context. The message format usually includes placeholders for the specific object type and the identifier of the object that is causing the conflict.
Cause:
- Duplicate Assignment: The most common cause of this error is that the object you are trying to assign (e.g., a cost center) is already assigned to another entity or context in the system.
- Configuration Issues: There may be configuration settings that prevent the reassignment of certain objects.
- Data Integrity: The system may have integrity checks that prevent the same object from being used in multiple places simultaneously.
Solution:
- Check Existing Assignments: Review the current assignments of the object in question. You can do this by navigating to the relevant transaction (e.g., for cost centers, you might use transaction code KS03 to display the cost center).
- Reassign or Unassign: If the object is indeed assigned elsewhere and you need to reassign it, you may need to unassign it from the current entity first. This can usually be done in the same transaction where you view the assignments.
- Consult Documentation: Check the SAP documentation or help files for specific instructions related to the object type you are working with.
- Authorization Check: Ensure that you have the necessary authorizations to make changes to the assignments. Lack of proper permissions can sometimes lead to misleading error messages.
- Contact Support: If you are unable to resolve the issue, consider reaching out to your SAP support team or consulting with SAP support for further assistance.
