  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The employee.s car could not be recognized as a 'New car', a 'Second
car', or as a 'Replacement car'.
This may be due to the creation of an infotype record for this car
subsequent to running a previous P46 Company Car report. There may
already be more than one car assigned to this employee, which have
first availability dates later than the first availability date for the
latest car record you created for this employee. In this situation, the
P46 Company Car report is unable to assign a car type category to this
    later car infotype record.

    How to fix this error?

Manually correct the subsequent car record that you created, if a
mistake was made in data entry. For example, if the date of first
    availability was entered incorrectly.
If the entry of this subsequent car in the infotype record was correct,
a P46(car) form .second car. will be created automatically by the P46
Company Car report. In this situation, you must manually confirm the
P46 Company Car report output in order to save the created forms in the
    archive.

SAP messages fall into 3 different categories: Error messages (message type = E), Warnings (W) or Informational (I) messages.

An error message will prevent you from continuing your work - it is a hard stop and you need to fix the error before you can proceed. A warning message will stop your work, however, you can then bypass the warning by pressing the Enter key on your keyboard. That said, it is still good practice to investigate the cause of the warning message and address it. An information message will not stop your work and is truly just for informational purposes.
