  • What causes this issue?

    This employee's infotype <ZK>SMP/SAP/SPP GB (0088) </>record may need
adjustment. You should check that the following field in infotype (0088)
is filled with the correct date, depending on the type of statutory
    absence you are recording:
For Statutory Maternity Leave, ensure that the field <ZK>Actual start of
    MPP </> is filled.
For Statutory Adoption Leave, ensure that the field <ZK>Intended start
    of APP </> is filled.
For Statutory Paternity Leave (birth), ensure that the field
    <ZK>Intended start </> is filled.
For Statutory Paternity Leave (adoption), ensure that the field
    <ZK>Intended start APP</> is filled.

    System Response

Your SAP system has calculated <(>&<)>v1& as the first day the
employee is absent on statutory absence leave.
For<ZH> Statutory Maternity Leave</>, the first Sunday following this
date is the <ZK>Actual start of MPP</>.
<ZH>Note:</> If the employee stops work because of a pregnancy-related
illness or because her child is born, the Maternity Pay Period(MPP) can
start from the first actual day of leave.
For <ZH>Statutory Adoption Leave and Statutory Paternity Leave</>, the
leave period can begin on any day of the week.

    How to fix this error?

Go to transaction 'Maintain HR Masterdata' (transaction PA30 in
Personnel Administration) and select this employee's infotype (0088)
record. Within the relevant subtype of infotype (0088), check that the
relevant field, as noted in <ZK>Diagnosis </>(above), contains the
correct start date of this employee's statutory absence leave.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How can this happen?

An employee has previously given notice of intention to start her MPP on
Friday February 01. You have recorded this date in infotype <ZK>Absences
</>(2001), and created a corresponding infotype (0088) record with the
<ZK>Actual start of MPP </>set to the following Sunday, February 03.
However, the employee's MPP actually begins on January 23. You amend
infotype (2001) to show this change of start date of the MPP, but you
must also then make the corresponding change to the <ZK>Actual start of
MPP </>date in the employee's infotype (0088) record.
