In most cases, the Qualifying Week of a pregnancy is 15 weeks before
the Expected Week of Childbirth.
In the case of a premature birth before the start of a Qualifying Week,
the Qualifying Week is changed to start on the Sunday on or before the
actual date of birth. In the case of a still-birth in the week before
the Qualifying Week the parent is entitled to Statutory Maternity Pay
or Statutory Paternity Pay and the Qualifying Week is changed to start
on the Sunday on or before the still-birth occured.
THe system has identified a case of a premature birth more than fifteen
weeks before the Expected Week of Childbirth and the start date of the
Qualifying Week has been changed accordingly.
The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
