  • What causes this issue?

    You have entered an intended start date for Statutory Paternity
    Leave(birth or adoption) that is more than 42 days after the birth date
    or placement date of the child.
    Statutory Paternity Pay (birth or adoption) is payable for a period of
    two weeks, up to 56 days after the birth date or placement date of the
    child. The intended start date of the Statutory Paternity Leave period
    you have entered means that the employee will not receive the full two
    week entitlement to Statutory Paternity Pay.

    System Response

    The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    How to fix this error?

    This message is issued as a warning only. You should consider informing
    the employee that moving the intended start of the Statutory Paternity
    Leave period to a date less than 42 days after the birth date or
    placement date of the child will allow full entitlement to Statutory
    Paternity Pay (birth or adoption).
