Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Posting control profiles are used in SAP General Ledger Accounting to control the posting of documents. They are used to define which fields must be filled in for a document to be posted, and which fields are optional. The profiles also determine which documents can be posted and which cannot.

    How to use it:
Posting control profiles are created in the Customizing application for General Ledger Accounting. The profile is then assigned to a company code, and the settings are applied to all documents posted in that company code. The settings can be changed at any time, allowing for flexibility in the posting process.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating a posting control profile, it is important to consider the needs of the company code. For example, if a company code requires certain fields to be filled in for a document to be posted, then those fields should be set as mandatory in the profile.
