Component Name: Plant Maintenance
Description: A percentage that determines how much time must pass after the start or completion confirmation date of a maintenance plan before the system creates a maintenance call object, for example, a maintenance order or a service entry sheet, for a calculated maintenance date planned date. If no current completion confirmation date is available, the last planned date is used as a starting date for calculating the call date for the maintenance call objects. &EXAMPLE& If the duration of the cycle is 250 days and the call horizon is 0 %, 80%, or 100%, the system creates the order after the following number of days: 0% -> Immediate call 80% -> Call after 200 days = 80% of 250 days 100% -> Call after 250 days, on the planned date
Key Concepts: Call Horizon is a feature in SAP Plant Maintenance (PM) that allows users to plan and schedule maintenance activities. It helps to ensure that all maintenance activities are completed on time and within budget. The call horizon is the time period in which maintenance activities must be completed. How to use it: To use the call horizon feature, users must first define the maintenance activities that need to be completed. This includes specifying the type of activity, the duration of the activity, and any other relevant information. Once these activities have been defined, users can then set the call horizon for each activity. This will determine when the activity needs to be completed. Tips & Tricks: When setting the call horizon for a maintenance activity, it is important to consider the resources available and the time needed to complete the activity. This will help ensure that all activities are completed on time and within budget. Additionally, it is important to regularly review and update the call horizon as needed to ensure that all maintenance activities are being completed in a timely manner.
