What is retention period in SAP IS-PMED-PE - Patient Engagement?

  • Description: The amount of time the system retains the data of a user after the user data has been deleted. This retention is done for audit and legal purposes. The data can be accessed only by an auditor during the retention period. After the retention period has passed, the data can be permanently deleted from your system.

    Retention period is a feature of the SAP IS-PMED-PE Patient Engagement component that allows users to set a specific amount of time for which patient data is stored. This feature helps ensure that patient data is kept secure and private, as it can be deleted after the set retention period has expired. 
    
    How to use it: 
    To use the retention period feature, users must first set the desired length of time for which patient data should be stored. This can be done by accessing the “Retention Period” settings in the SAP IS-PMED-PE Patient Engagement component. Once the desired length of time has been set, patient data will automatically be deleted after the set retention period has expired. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    It is important to note that the retention period feature only applies to patient data stored in the SAP IS-PMED-PE Patient Engagement component. Any other patient data stored outside of this component will not be affected by this feature. Additionally, users should ensure that they regularly review and update their retention period settings to ensure that patient data is kept secure and private.
