SAP Term: substitute

Smart SAP Assistant

  • Key Concepts:
Substitute is a feature in the Corporate Performance Monitor (CPM) component of SAP’s Financial Services and Enterprise Management (FIN-SEM) suite. It allows users to assign a substitute user to a task or process in order to ensure that the task or process is completed in the event that the original user is unavailable.

    How to use it:
To assign a substitute user, the original user must first create a substitute user profile in the CPM component. Once this is done, the original user can assign the substitute user to any task or process that they are responsible for. The substitute user will then be able to access and complete the task or process if the original user is unavailable.

    Tips & Tricks:
It is important to ensure that the substitute user has all of the necessary permissions and access rights to complete the task or process. Additionally, it is important to keep track of which tasks and processes have been assigned to which substitute users in order to ensure that all tasks and processes are completed in a timely manner.
