What is captured area in SAP EP-PIN-IVS - Use EP-PIN?

  • Description: Selected portion of a Web page that has been chosen as the content to display in a URL iView for example, a single table within a page. Alternatively, one can display the entire contents of a Web page in a URL iView.

  • Key Concepts: 
    Captured area is a term used in SAP Enterprise Portal (EP) to refer to a specific area of the portal that has been selected for customization. This area can be used to add custom content, such as images, text, and links, to the portal. 
    
    How to use it: 
    The EP-PIN-IVS component is used to capture an area of the portal. To do this, first select the area you want to customize. Then, click on the “Capture Area” button in the EP-PIN-IVS component. This will open a dialog box where you can enter the details of the area you want to customize. Once you have entered all the details, click “Save” and your captured area will be saved. 
    
    Tips & Tricks: 
    When capturing an area of the portal, make sure that you select an area that is large enough to accommodate all of your custom content. Additionally, make sure that you save your captured area after making any changes so that your changes are not lost.
