• Description: In the case of segmentation with normal data volume, a segmentation basis is a list of business partners/products/marketing prospects that represents a subset of all the business partners contained in SAP CRM. In the case of segmentation with high data volume, a segmentation basis is a logical description of a subset of business partners using a combination of filters - you can model and save a segmentation basis in the same way as a segment. In both cases you can use segmentation bases to delimit the selection during segmentation to a specific group of business partners/products/marketing prospects so that non-relevant business partners/products/marketing prospects are excluded from the selection which then forms the basis for modeling target groups/product segments.
