  • Key Concepts:
An alias is a feature in the SAP General Application Functions (CA-GTF) component that allows users to assign an alternative name to an existing object. This can be used to simplify the navigation of complex systems, as well as to provide a more intuitive way of referring to objects.

    How to use it:
To create an alias, users must first identify the object they wish to assign an alternative name to. This can be done by navigating to the object in the system and selecting the “Create Alias” option from the menu. Once selected, users will be prompted to enter a name for the alias. Once saved, this alias can then be used instead of the original object name when navigating through the system.

    Tips & Tricks:
When creating aliases, it is important to ensure that they are descriptive and easy to remember. This will help users quickly identify and access objects within the system. Additionally, it is important to ensure that aliases are unique and do not conflict with existing objects or aliases.
