Key Concepts: Design items are objects in the BW-BEX Business Explorer that are used to create and manage queries. They are used to define the data that will be retrieved from the database, as well as the layout of the query results. Design items can be created from scratch or based on existing queries. How to use it: Design items can be created by selecting the “Create Design Item” option from the BW-BEX Business Explorer menu. This will open a window where you can enter the name of the design item, select a query type, and enter the query parameters. Once you have entered all of the necessary information, you can save the design item and it will be available for use in other queries. Tips & Tricks: When creating a design item, it is important to make sure that all of the query parameters are correct. This will ensure that the query results are accurate and up-to-date. Additionally, it is helpful to save multiple versions of a design item so that you can easily revert back to an earlier version if needed.
