  • Description: Special package interface of a server package A distinction must generally be made between the implicit and explicit default interfaces: A non-encapsulated package has only an implicit default interface that encompasses the entire content of the package as well as the content of the default interfaces of its subpackages encapsulated or non-encapsulated, and makes this available for all possible clients. Therefore, an interface of this type offers the least protection against external access. Initially, a weakly encapsulated package also has an implicit default interface. However, one of its named package interfaces can be declared as an explicit default interface in which the contents of the package can be gradually exposed. In contrast, an encapsulated package no longer has an implicit default interface. One of the named package interfaces can be declared as an explicit default interface here as well.     To use the default package interface, users must first create a package. This can be done by selecting the “Create Package” option from the Package Tools menu. Once the package is created, users can assign objects to it by selecting the “Assign Objects” option from the Package Tools menu. Finally, users can transport the package between systems by selecting the “Transport Package” option from the Package Tools menu.

    When creating a package, it is important to give it a descriptive name that will help identify its contents. Additionally, when assigning objects to a package, it is important to ensure that all of the necessary objects are included in order for the package to be successfully transported between systems.
