What causes this issue?

The number of lead columns has changed.

System Response

The layout has been changed since the last time the lead column
settings were saved. As the number of lead columns has been changed,
the old entries have to be deleted before the new entries can be saved.

How to fix this error?

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
