Message type: E = Error
Message class: WP3ROLES - Portal Role Maintenance
Message number: 018
Message text: Cannot include object &1 &2 &3 in transport request
An operation requires the inclusion of object &V1& &V2& &V3& in a
transport request to ensure consistent data through the transport for
authorization roles.
This object has not been included.
Depending on the operation, either nothing has been done or the
operation has been executed but not completely transported (this occurs
when new authorization roles are created, for example).
The original message issued by the transport interface is also included
in the message log and can give further hints regarding the cause of
the problem.
As the required transport entries have not been created or are
incomplete, you should not release transport request &V4& in its
current state because this could lead to inconsistent data in the
target systems.
After clarifying the problem, manually transport the entry in this
transaction.

WP3ROLES018
- Cannot include object &1 &2 &3 in transport request ?The SAP error message:
WP3ROLES018 Cannot include object &1 &2 &3 in transport request
typically occurs when you try to include certain objects (like roles, profiles, or related authorization objects) in a transport request, but the system prevents it due to specific reasons related to object type, transport layer, or system settings.
Cause
Object Type Not Transportable:
The object you are trying to include in the transport request is not allowed to be transported. For example, some objects are client-specific or system-specific and cannot be moved via transport requests.Incorrect Transport Layer or System Settings:
The transport layer assigned to the object or the system configuration may restrict the inclusion of certain objects in transport requests.Authorization or Role Transport Restrictions:
For roles and authorizations, SAP has specific transport mechanisms. If the role or authorization object is not properly maintained or is locked, the system may prevent its inclusion.Object Already Included or Locked:
The object might already be included in another transport request or locked by another user/session.
Solution
Check Object Transportability:
Verify if the object type you are trying to transport is allowed to be transported. For roles and authorizations, use transaction PFCG and check the transport settings.Use Correct Transport Method for Roles:
For roles and authorizations, use the standard SAP transport mechanism via PFCG:
- Go to transaction PFCG
- Open the role
- Use the menu option Role > Transport to create or assign the transport request properly.
Check Transport Layer and System Settings:
Ensure that the transport layer assigned to the object is correct and that the system allows transport of such objects.Check for Locks or Existing Transports:
Use transaction SE03 or SE09/SE10 to check if the object is already included in another transport request or locked.Use Transport Organizer Tools:
Use transaction SE09/SE10 to manually add the object to a transport request if automatic inclusion fails.Consult SAP Notes:
Sometimes, specific SAP Notes address known issues with transporting certain objects. Search the SAP Support Portal for notes related to WP3ROLES018.
