What causes this issue?

Each variant must have a unique characteristic value (one-dimensional
generic articles) or a unique characteristic value combination
(multi-dimensional generic articles) for the variant-creating
characteristics. Currently this prerequisite is not fulfilled for some
of the new variants.

System Response

The lines with non-unique characteristic value usage are indicated.

How to fix this error?

Check the indicated lines for unique usage of characteristic values and
characteristic value combinations.

Procedure for System Administrators

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
