    SAP Error Message:
W5115 - You have not yet released any purchase requisitions

    Cause:

This warning message appears when a user tries to perform an action that requires having released purchase requisitions, but no purchase requisitions have been released by the user yet. Typically, this happens in scenarios where the system expects the user to have completed the release (approval) process for purchase requisitions before proceeding further, such as creating purchase orders from released requisitions or running reports that filter on released requisitions.

    Explanation:

    • Purchase requisitions in SAP often go through a release (approval) strategy.
    • Until a purchase requisition is released, it is considered not approved and cannot be processed further.
    • The message indicates that the user has not released any purchase requisitions, so the subsequent process cannot continue.

    Solution:

    1. Check Release Strategy:

      • Verify if the purchase requisitions have been created and are pending release.
      • Use transaction ME54N (Release Purchase Requisition) to check and release the purchase requisitions assigned to you.
    2. Release Purchase Requisitions:

      • Open the purchase requisition in ME54N.
      • Review the details and release the requisition if everything is correct.
      • After releasing, the requisition status changes to "Released" and can be processed further.
    3. Verify User Authorization:

      • Ensure the user has the necessary authorization to release purchase requisitions.
      • Check roles and authorizations related to release strategies (e.g., authorization object M_EINK_FRG).
    4. Check Release Strategy Configuration:

      • If no purchase requisitions are available for release, verify the release strategy configuration in SPRO under: Materials Management -> Purchasing -> Purchase Requisition -> Release Procedure -> Set Up Release Procedure for Purchase Requisitions
      • Ensure that the release strategy is correctly defined and assigned to the purchase requisitions.
    5. Check if Purchase Requisitions Exist:

      • Confirm that purchase requisitions have been created and assigned to the user for release.
      • Use transaction ME5A to list purchase requisitions and filter by release status and user.

    Related Information:

    • Transaction Codes:

      • ME51N – Create Purchase Requisition
      • ME54N – Release Purchase Requisition
      • ME5A – List Purchase Requisitions
      • ME59N – Automatic Generation of Purchase Orders from Purchase Requisitions
    • Release Strategy:

      • Release strategies control the approval process for purchase requisitions.
      • They are configured based on criteria like document type, value, purchasing group, etc.
      • Each release strategy has release codes and release indicators.
    • Authorizations:

      • Users need appropriate authorizations to release purchase requisitions.
      • Authorization object M_EINK_FRG controls release-related permissions.

    Summary:

The message W5115 indicates that no purchase requisitions have been released by the user, preventing further processing. The user should check for pending purchase requisitions, release them using ME54N, and ensure proper authorization and release strategy configuration are in place.
