How To Fix VX601 - Analyze Document: Access Sequences, Accesses and Performance

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: VX - Text processing messages

  • Message number: 601

  • Message text: Analyze Document: Access Sequences, Accesses and Performance

  • Show details Hide details
  • Access sequences and accesses
In text Customizing, you can set the system to automatically supply
texts in transactions (e.g. sales orders, deliveries, etc.). To do
this, you assign an access sequence to a text ID. The order of accesses
in which the system is to search for texts is stored in the access
sequence. The system assigns the first source text found to the target
text. No further accesses are carried out.

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

    Determining key figures
The maximum number of access levels is determined from settings made in
Customizing and issued by the system.
    Alternatives
The number of unsuccessful accesses increases when successful accesses
are listed last in the order of access sequences. For this reason, you
    should consider
    - whether you can better order the accesses
    - whether you can avoid accesses by using requirements instead

  • What is the cause and solution for SAP error message VX601 - Analyze Document: Access Sequences, Accesses and Performance ?

The SAP error message VX601, which states "Analyze Document: Access Sequences, Accesses and Performance," typically occurs in the context of pricing and condition records in SAP. This error is related to the access sequence used in the pricing procedure, which is a sequence of condition tables that SAP checks to determine the applicable pricing conditions for a sales document.

    Cause:

    1. Access Sequence Configuration: The access sequence may not be properly configured, or the condition records may not exist for the specific combination of fields being checked.
    2. Missing Condition Records: There may be no condition records available for the pricing conditions being evaluated.
    3. Performance Issues: The system may be experiencing performance issues due to a large number of condition records or inefficient access sequences.
    4. Incorrect Condition Table: The condition table used in the access sequence may not be appropriate for the pricing conditions being evaluated.

    Solution:

    1. Check Access Sequence:

      • Go to the transaction code V/07 to check the access sequence configuration.
      • Ensure that the access sequence is correctly defined and that the condition tables are appropriate for the pricing conditions.
    2. Review Condition Records:

      • Use transaction code VK11 to create or VK12 to change condition records.
      • Ensure that the necessary condition records exist for the relevant pricing conditions.
    3. Analyze Performance:

      • If performance is an issue, consider optimizing the access sequence by reducing the number of condition tables or by ensuring that the most frequently used condition records are checked first.
      • You can also analyze the performance using transaction ST05 (SQL Trace) to identify any bottlenecks.
    4. Check for Updates:

      • Ensure that your SAP system is up to date with the latest support packages and notes, as performance improvements and bug fixes may be included in updates.
