What causes this issue?

An error occurs when maintaining the standard selection
variant for the shipment list.
Possible reasons:
You have no authorization for this activity
The transport group could not be connected correctly (either there is
authorization in this client or you have pressed 'Cancel' in the dialog
box for the transport group)
The variant is protected (in this case only the user who protected the
variant can carry out the change).
The variant is blocked by another user
You terminated maintenance
Maintenance was called out with the wrong report name or variant name
Other

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.
