How To Fix VSB301 - An automatically deactivated record cannot be manually activated

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: VSB - Self-Billing Procedure Messages

  • Message number: 301

  • Message text: An automatically deactivated record cannot be manually activated

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

The data record has been automatically deactivated by the system and can
    no longer be activated manually.

    System Response

The data record can no longer be applied in the processing step.

    How to fix this error?

The following options currently exist as to why the data record was
    automatically deactivated by the system:
If the value '007' was set in the IDoc in the segment/field
E1EDK01-ACTION, the system assumes that this is an example of "unvalued
goods receipt"; the data is provided to you for information purposes
only. In the mapping recommendations between the EDI subsystem and the
IDoc interface, in the case of VDA 4908, the system assumes that the
above-mentioned ACTION field in the IDoc is set to '007' in the case of
record type 822, field 14 and contents value "2".
In the IDoc an unfeasible combination of the ACTION code (header and
item level) is used. This is an example of the IDoc fields
E1EDK01-ACTION and E1EDP01-ACTION. An unfeasible combination is, for
    example 005 / 092-099.
It is possible that a user exit is used with the help of which the value
of E1EDK01-ACTION can also be set to '007' in other cases. In this case
you have to contact your system administrator as to why the record was
    deactivated.
