What causes this issue?

You entered (externally assigned) a delivery number.
Delivery type &V1& only permits internal number assignment. When you
save the delivery, the next available number in the designated number
range will automatically be assigned.

How to fix this error?

Delete the document number.

If you require external number assignment for this delivery type, you
must assign an external number range in Customizing.
Make the necessary settings in Customizing if you have the authorization
to do so.
Inform your system administrator if you cannot make the settings
yourself.
