Message number: 426
Message text: Target Memory Buffer
On Hyper-V: the number shows the portion (in percent) of the Memory
Demand value that the hypervisor should add as memory buffer to the VM
if there are sufficient physical memory resources available on the
virtualization host. So, the hypervisor tries to assign an amount of
memory (Target Memory) to the VM according the formula:
Target Memory = Memory Demand + (Memory Demand * Target Memory
Buffer)/100
However, the Target Memory is not guaranteed when the virtualization
host is under memory pressure.
This value is valid with activated Dynamic Memory only.

- Target Memory Buffer ?The SAP error message VIRT426, which refers to "Target Memory Buffer," typically occurs in the context of SAP's Virtual Memory Management. This error indicates that the system has encountered an issue related to memory allocation for a specific process or operation.
Cause: Insufficient Memory Allocation: The most common cause of this error is that the system does not have enough memory allocated to handle the current workload or the specific operation being performed.
Configuration Issues: Incorrect configuration settings in the SAP system related to memory management can lead to this error. High Load: A sudden spike in system load or resource-intensive operations can exhaust available memory resources. Memory Leaks: Applications or processes that do not release memory properly can lead to exhaustion of available memory.
Solution: Increase Memory Allocation: Review and increase the memory settings in the SAP system configuration. This can involve adjusting parameters such as abap/heap_area_total, abap/heap_area_dia, and abap/heap_area_nondia. Monitor System Performance: Use transaction codes like
