What causes this issue?

The current transmission has no previous transmission
(missing previous number: <ZH>&V1&</>).

System Response

Inbound processing terminated in <LS>background mode</>. However,
further processing is possible in mode <LS>in the foreground</>.

How to fix this error?

Check that the IDoc is correct.
In the Workflow inbox, insert a correct previous number in the IDoc
field <LS>TRMOLD</> (Segment: <LS>E1EDK40</>). Make sure that the
number exists in the table <LS>TRNSM</> (Field: <LS>TRMNO_EXT</>,
external transmission number) for the following parameters:
- PartnerNo., PartType, PartRole : <ZH>&V2&</>
- Log.Message, MessVar, MessFct : <ZH>&V3&</>
- Direction, Test : <ZH>&V4&</>
Start inbound processing again (in the background).
Alternatively, you can process the IDoc, unchanged, in mode <LS>in the
foreground</> (online).

The system issues an error message and will not allow you to continue with this transaction until the error is resolved.

If you do not want inbound processing to terminate as a result of the
external transmission number consistency check, set <LS>automatic
processing allowed</> in Customizing.
