How To Fix VBDRV075 - No object link for this attribute

SAP Error Message - Details

  • Message type: E = Error

  • Message class: VBDRV - Derivation of Batch Characteristics

  • Message number: 075

  • Message text: No object link for this attribute

  • Show details Hide details
  • What causes this issue?

You have chosen the jump option <ZH>object</>, but no information about
a jump target has been stored for this attribute.
In the standard system, the derivation transfers only fields from the
master data and the classifying attributes of the batches. You can go
to this information via the context menu at the batch node.
However if a field has been brought into the derivation through a
Customer Function from a different object (for example, from the order
header) you can enter a link for this object in the attribute. The
system searched for this link for the jump option you have just chosen,
    but did not find it.

    System Response

The jump cannot be carried out.

    How to fix this error?

For attributes whose contents are derived from the batch, use the jump
option <ZH>Batch master</> in the context menu of the batch node. If
you expect an object link, check Customer Function and BOR object
    (Business Object Repository).

    Procedure for System Administrators

The system does not just search for the link in the current derivation,
but in all current derivations in which this batch sent this attribute.

The SAP error message VBDRV075: No object link for this attribute typically occurs in the context of SAP's Variant Configuration (VC) when there is an issue with the configuration of a product or when trying to access a characteristic that is not properly linked to the object in question.

    Cause:

    1. Missing Object Link: The error indicates that there is no valid link between the characteristic and the object (e.g., a material or a configuration profile). This can happen if the characteristic is not assigned to the configuration profile or if the configuration is incomplete.

    Solution:

    1. Check Characteristic Assignment: Ensure that the characteristic in question is correctly assigned to the relevant configuration profile or material. You can do this by navigating to the configuration settings in the SAP system.
    2. Review Configuration Profile: Verify that the configuration profile is correctly set up and that all necessary characteristics are included. You can check this in the transaction code CU01 (Create Configuration Profile) or CU02 (Change Configuration Profile).
    3. Validate Object Links: Use transaction codes like CU03 (Display Configuration Profile) to check if the object links are correctly established. If not, you may need to re-establish these links.
